is a body of scientists voluntarily banded together and concerned
with the advancement of knowledge in the field of residential
care, foster care and their alternatives for children and youth
with psycho-social problems, including young addicts'
OBJECTS
The promotion and development within Europe of empirical and theoretical research into the field of residential and foster and treatment for children and youth
The interchange of information relating to this subject between the European members and other Associations throughout the world, towards an international achievement of these objects and purposes
PURPOSE
a) initiate meetings;
b) make critical assessments of research needs;
c) explore resources for scientific study and research;
d) enhance comparative studies and research;
e) develop the most appropriate means of dissemination;
f) assist in the publication and the translation of members manuscripts
ADVANTAGES OF MEMBERSHIP
Members of the Association are entitled to important reductions on registration fees for congresses and symposia and on the price of the Association's publications. Members of the Association can subscribe to the Journal at a special rate.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership is extended to all those who because of their scientific interests and/or research are expected to make substantial contributions to research in the field of residential and foster care and treatment and tgheir alternatives for children and youth.
